Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using Speak Trainer. By accessing or using our service at speaktrainer.app, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. The Service

Speak Trainer is a language learning application that uses Spaced Repetition System (SRS) to help users learn and retain English vocabulary. We offer both a free tier and a paid Premium subscription.

2. Accounts

• You must provide a valid email address to register
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account
• One person may not maintain more than one free account

3. Free and Premium Plans

Free plan includes access to 5 new cards per day and standard card sets.

Premium plan ($7 per month) includes:

• Up to 50 new cards per day
• Access to all card sets
• Unlimited daily reviews

4. Billing and Subscriptions

• Premium subscriptions are billed monthly at $7.00 USD
• Billing is processed securely through Stripe
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period
• You can cancel at any time by contacting support
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service
• Share your account credentials with others
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the application
• Use automated tools to scrape or bulk-download content

6. Content

All flashcard content provided by Speak Trainer (vocabulary, phrases, examples) is our intellectual property. You may not reproduce or distribute it without permission.

7. Availability

We aim to keep Speak Trainer available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect availability. We are not liable for any losses resulting from downtime.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed within 30 days.

9. Limitation of Liability

Speak Trainer is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Montreal, Quebec.
